When it comes to creating branded slot machines, Aristocrat is an industry leader. Over the course of the past few years, the company has developed a wide range of impressive branded slots based hugely popular TV shows Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead and The Big Bang Theory. Now, Aristocrat will be launching a poker machine based on a classic horror film icon: Elvira!

The new Elvira slot machine from Aristocrat is based on the original Mistress of the Dark. It is a Class III game that is housed in the massive Arc Double Cabinet. The game will certainly draw attention on the casino floor, and we’re sure it will be a big hit among players.

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark features a unique format in which wins aren’t paid out based on symbols appearing on the same payline. Instead, it runs on Cluster Power. This is a feature that offers players more ways to win, as clusters of three or more symbols pay out prizes horizontally and vertically. There is also a generous Reel Growth feature that adds extra symbol positions to the reels in order to increase winning potential.

Players can access all sorts of amazing bonus prizes while playing the new Elvira, Mistress of the Dark slot machine. These include:

PokerStars is one of the biggest online gambling brands today, offering players a wide range of products in the digital gaming realm. In addition to offering online poker, sportsbetting and casino games, the company has now decided to launch social slots on its app Jackpot Poker by PokerStars.

The Jackpot Poker by PokerStars app was originally launched in December 2015, and it has become a hugely popular game among Android and iOS users. However, the company felt that it could be doing more to satisfy its players, so PokerStars has made the decision to launch social slots the application.

LottoNZ Considers Online Scratchcards

Around the world, more and more state lotteries are offering up online lottery sales that also provide players with the chance to play scratchcards online. Lotto NZ wants to follow suit, but the Problem Gambling Foundation has expressed some concerns.

Recently, Lotto NZ has issued a tender that calls for gaming companies to create ‘instant win games’, which will be offered through the MyLotto online platform. The company has recognised the popularity of online scratchcards, and hopes to improve revenue by offering them to MyLotto players.

Currently, there are 400 000 registered users on the platform, which will certainly yield some significant returns if this new product is introduced. Instant win games account for 15% of all LottoNZ sales, so it only seems natural to make these games available online, where players can access more conveniently.

The Problem Gambling Foundation is concerned about players being able to access scratchcards on the internet. With mobile technology become more advanced, responsible gambling advocates feel as though vulnerable players will use their smartphones or tablets to play instant win games at any time and from virtually anywhere.

“In an online environment, there is real potential for this to be quite harmful,” says a spokesperson for the foundation. “It would mean that 24/7 you’re carrying around the opportunity to gamble like this in your pocket.”

LottoNZ has addressed these concerns by stating that strict responsible gambling measures will be enacted. For example, some online lottery sites limit users to only player a certain number of instant win games a day; others offer players the chance to set limits so that they don’t spend more than they can afford on lottery tickets or scratchcards. While these seem like plausible solutions, the Problem Gambling Foundation has yet to respond.

Business Is Booming for Yggdrasil Gaming

Yggdrasil Gaming is new to the online casino market, and has experienced plenty of growth in a very short amount of time. This week, the company posted its first quarter financial results for 2016, and it seems that things are going very well for Yggdrasil.

Overall, the online slots developer saw a 519% surge in revenue up to $767 million. Bet turnover increased by 1085% to $600 000. This is one of the most successful results that we have seen for any new gaming operator. This is very encouraging for the company, and we are eager to see what comes next from Yggdrasil, based on this impressive growth.

Yggdrasil’s gaming growth has been attributed to its new deals. The company has signed a content supply deal with bet365, one of the web’s leading online casino providers, and has gone live on six different UK online gambling sites.

“Yggdrasil has kicked off 2016 with strong, mainly organic growth from existing customers and a number of exciting deals, launches and award,” says Fredrik Elmqvist. “We are already live with six operators in the UK and there will be more to follow in the coming months. It is certainly a very competitive market, and it is still early days, but early indications are encouraging.”

The company has also released 3 new games that have attracted plenty of attention from players around the world. Incinerator, Golden Fish Tank and Seasons all bring new themes and innovative gameplay features to the online casino market. It is no wonder why online gaming operators are so eager to work with Yggdrasil, as the company provides them with content that players are eager to try out. There is certainly more success in Yggdrasil’s future, and we can’t wait to see how the company grows in the coming year.

Full Tilt Now Migrated to PokerStars Platform

Full Tilt players will now be playing their favourite online poker games on PokerStars’ software. This week, the company completed its migration to the PokerStars platform, so both player pools will be combined for bigger prizes and better game selection.

All Full Tilt players who attempt to login to their accounts this week will be required to update the software. From this point on, the will be playing poker on PokerStars’ software. The lobby will look just like PokerStars and feature all of its games. Players will still be able to access Full Tilt’s Rush Poker, but it will just be a re-skinned version of PokerStars’ Zoom poker.

When players enter the games and tournaments, things will be much more familiar. The operator has decided to keep the in-game look like the original Full Tilt platform. So, players will have access to avatars, customisation options for the look of the room and the ability to play The Deal side game.

Rational Group, which owns both PokerStars and Full Tilt is exciting about the migration, as it means that the company will be able to focus on one platform instead of two. This means they can concentrate more on bringing new innovations to the one platform that will offer players newer ways to play their favourite poker games online.

“It will also make us more nimble as we can focus our technological innovation on one platform, rather than two, so we will be able to innovate more quickly and enter newly-regulating and existing markets swiftly,” says Rational Group CEO Rafi Ashkenazi.

Another major benefit is that there will be a wider player pool. This means that players will have a better game selection and access to large prize pools in tournaments. This is an exciting time for Rational Group, and the migration could really boost business.

Co-Founder Leaves Zynga

Another one bites the dust at Zynga. For the past few months, several executives for the social gaming site have left for greener pastures, and now co-founder Justin Waldron has decided to take his leave as well.

“I am grateful to have had the chance to help build a company that touched so many people,” reads a statement from Waldron. “Thank you to everyone who has been a part of it

Waldron joined Zynga six years ago when the social gaming company was just an idea in founder Mark Pincus’ head. He was approached by Pincus for help with the development of an online poker game with unique social gaming elements. The result of their teamwork was Zynga Poker, one of the company’s best-selling titles.

This week, Waldron announced that he would be leaving Zynga to pursue his personal business interests. He has not yet announced what his future pursuits are, but we anticipate that he will either continue in the social gaming market or work on his investment portfolio, which include Delectable, Instant Cab and Red Hot Labs.

Positive Reaction To New Party Poker Software

Last month, Party Poker released a new software update to help correct a number of issues that had been plaguing players. Gaming industry experts doubted that the update could boost the company’s rating, but a recent report shows that Party Poker is attracting new traffic.

When the new software premiered, poker professionals believed that it came too late. For months, the online poker community complained about many bugs on the site, and Party Poker had lost a lot of traffic. Despite the new software, it was thought that the poker room’s numbers would continue to decline.

However, that has not been the case. According to Poker Update, the online poker room’s software revamp has had a positive effect for the company. Since the software was launched several weeks ago, traffic has increased by 3%. It is currently the fifth most popular online poker website in the market, just behind Full Tilt Poker.

Party Poker’s new platform focuses on a more social gaming experience. Players are encouraged to take part in challenges in order to earn bonus prizes and improve their skills. It is the first of its kind, and we anticipate that it will continue to attract new traffic.

New MMO Based On Casino Market

This month, Goldfire Games has released a new MMO called CasinoRPG. Allowing players to interact in a unique way, this game brings something completely new to the online casino market that has never been seen before.

Social casino games certainly exist, but not in this capacity. Players can access online slots and online poker games through Facebook, interacting with players and levelling up their experience – but they have never been presented with the chance to assume the role of a digital character.

In CasinoRPG, players control a virtual character, which is entirely customizable. As players earn cash by playing casino games (such as poker, roulette and slots), they can purchase upgrades for the character’s appearance and home. Earning cash also allows the player to level up, which unlocks more capabilities in the game.

When players reach Level 10, they can even open up their own casino. Like, everything else in the game, it is fully customizable. Players can choose which games to offer and decide how the casino will be designed. Then, other digital players can visit the casino and wager on the games.

CasinoRPG is still in Beta stages, but it has been well-received thus far. We anticipate that it will be a huge success in the online gambling market.

100 Billionth Hand Promotion at Poker Stars

Yet another milestone is coming up at PokerStars, as the renowned online poker room prepares to deal its 100 billionth hand. Leading up to the milestone hand, PokerStars will be providing players with the chance to take part in a wide range of promotions that offer up generous prizes.

As was the case with all other milestone hands at PokerStars, the company will be awarding promotional prizes to players involved in every millionth hand leading up to the milestone – starting at 99,700,000,000. Every player that takes part in these hands will earn a generous prize, and Poker Stars is ready to hand out $1 million.

An additional $1 million will be split among the players in the 100 billionth hand. The winner of the hand will earn at least $100 000 while the remaining players will earn $10 000 and additional cash for their VPPs.

Players can increase their chances of taking part in a milestone hand simply by playing more hands and multi-tabling. It may take some dedication, but if you end up in a milestone hand, it will certainly be worth the hard work.
